Since Sholinghur is a small town and does not have adequate food and shelter facilities for visiting pilgrims, Sriman Kandadai Brothers of Nellore started Thadiyrathanai in the year 1987 at a rented premises (Guruswamy Bungalow) on Pandavatheertham Road, Kondapalayam to serve the pilgrims. The construction of own premises has been a long pending desire of the Samajam’s founders as the Samajam has all along been using Guruswamy Bungalow for the same.

Plot of land measuring about 5000 sqft was purchased at Kondapalayam, Sholinghur for the purpose of construction of the Samajam premises to serve as as resting room, office, kitchen & Thadiyaradhanai hall for the visiting pilgrims. This plot of land faces both the hill temples and is located adjacent to Guruswamy Bungalow.

The Bhoomi Pooja for the building construction was conducted on November 24th 2011 through the auspices of Brihaspathi Sriman Vasudeva Iyengar of Kondapalayam, Sholinghur.

There has been a sharp increase in cost of cement, steel, construction materials and labour costs over last few years. The building construction is expected to cost over Rs. Fifty Lakhs as per latest estimates.

Subsequently watchman quarters were erected, water sump was installed and borewell was drilled in 2012.
